Hazrat Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani (R.A.), known as Hazrat Shah-e-Hamdan, arrived in Kashmir around 1372 CE (774 AH), initiating a well-organized missionary and spiritual movement that established dozens of Khanqahs across the region. A Persian Sufi Saint, Scholar, Poet, and Missionary of the Kubrawiya order, he played a pivotal role in spreading Islam and introducing Persian arts, crafts, and culture to Kashmir.
